What is Reiki?
Reiki is both a complimentary health modality and a personal practice which supports physical, emotional and spiritual balance and well being. Reiki energy creates the opportunity for self-healing, tapping into our bodies natural resources.
Rei-ki translates as Universal Energy. Reiki gently helps us recalibrate to our own intrinsic state of balance and well-being. When balanced, the body can access its own healing ability.
Reiki practitioners hold gentle hand positions on or above the body for several minutes at a time. Recipients generally feel refreshed and relaxed after a Reiki treatment. Reiki can also help with pain relief, chronic illness, and post-surgical recovery, mental and emotional challenges and much more. It is an excellent complement to traditional medical and mental health therapies.
A core component of Reiki is the personal practice which is easily learned from a Reiki teacher and can help bring peace joy and wellness throughout your life, through the comfort of your own hands.
Anyone can learn Reiki and practice on themselves and their loved ones, including pets. One of the early teachers of Reiki, Mrs. Takata, said she wanted to make Reiki more common than aspirin.
That sums up our aspirations at Central Vermont Reiki. Reiki is a gift everyone deserves!
